Google stellt mit der Google Maps API eine leistungsfähige Schnittstelle bereit. Damit eine Adresse, z.B. die Adresse eines Kunden, in Google Maps dargestellt werden kann, müssen die korrekten Koordinaten dafür gefunden werden. Diesen Vorgang nennt man Geocoding. Man gibt Google also eine Adresse und erhält die Koordinaten dieser Adresse. Das funktioniert in der Realität sehr gut und sicher, vorausgesetzt die Adresse stimmt. Die so erhaltenen Koordinaten kann man für eine spätere Verwendung speichern, so dass man sie nicht wieder und wieder abfragen muss. So geht's mit Adobe ColdFusion:

Just found out after 2 hours of debugging that CF7 / Jrun does never refresh its DNS cache. I was trying to aggregate several RSS feeds and one feed, even though i knew it was there, was constantly throwing errors that i could not explain. Obviously that site, which was in the DNS query cache of the JVM, was moved to a new location and Coldfusion still tried to get it from the old IP. After looking around for a bit i found this handy solution to change the CFHTTP cache settings. I set the cache TTL to 6 hours (21600s).
